notice

The blog will be officially suspended until sometime next week, since I am moving on Monday and have been incredibly busy with that and the start of the new school here.

See you in May!

i have returned!

April 6

I made a post about this earlier, but it's now buried somewhere on page two. I have taken photographs ever since my last updates last month, but due to end-of-semester busyness and computer problems, I haven't had time to update. I decided to crack down and do it today, but my computer can't handle doing large posts. Hence, I made a post for every day I missed. Please feel free to go back a page if you don't want to miss anything. Thank you!

This one was for Ash, but it didn't out well. The wall of this store was lined with Yonsama pillows, as if someone might need... hundreds...

your princess is in another castle

April 5

I went to Osaka Castle to go cherry blossom viewing.
I got desperately lost and ended up wandering around a few kilometers.
It was a lovely day for it, but my feet still haven't forgiven me.

this is not vanity, trust me

April 4

Once again, I couldn't find my digital camera so I had to settle for my computer's built in one.
I wanted to show everyone what my hair does when it rains.
I give up!

sakura sakura

April 3

Part of a little shrine I found off the beaten path while on a lazy bike ride.

yumyum

April 2

This was taken with my cell phone camera.
It is the Cheese Katsu Burger from McDonalds.
I loved it last year, but then it -- being a seasonal item -- disappeared from the menu early summer.
Devastated, I spent ten lonely months mourning the loss of my deed fried pork and cheese sandwich, when suddenly it reappeared on the menu!
I didn't squeal with excitement. Well. Maybe only a little.

April 1

If you spent over 4000 yen on goods at the fan club concerts, you were able to enter a contest to win special t-shirts and stuff. I, of course, spent way too much money on things but didn't manage to win a single time. These stickers were the consolation prize.
BEST PERFORMANCE TO ME.

holy overexposure, batman.

March 31

I dressed much more sensibly for concert day 2.

ryuichi talked to me during the show, btw

March 30

I love this photo.
This was taken after a fan club only concert my favorite band did.
I was dressed up all girly and cute, but the second it was time for the picture to be taken, BAM! My awkward boyish nature took over, and I stumbled.
Awesome!

news flash

March 29

This news crew filmed this girl calling someone a dozen times.
Why? Who knows.
Well, I guess she must...

he DOES do a good humpty dance

March 28

This was taken after a night of karaoke with Casey and Stacy.
We were celebrating the end of last year's work contracts.
I'm happy I was able to share the fun of karaoke with them before they returned home!

i win

March 27

This was taken with my computer camera since I couldn't find my digital camera.
I won this in a crane game.
I am the best.

big luck

March 26

This is a Japanese sweet called a daifuku. It's pounded red bean paste inside of dough. It sounds so awful but THEY ARE SO DELICIOUS, I CANNOT STOP EATING THEM.

the "w" finger sign is for our favorite band, siiiighhhh

March 25

My best Japanese friend Mariko and I in Abeno.
It was a windy day.

filler entry

March 24

This is artsy, admit it.

marry me already

March 23

The best part of the month is when JUNON is released and I can spend 500 yen on pointless interviews with my favorite band.
I am twelve years old.

sweet and sour

March 22

It was 11:50 and I needed to take a picture and stat.
What's better than my favorite candy here?
Mmm... fruit sours...

portraits

March 21

Two of my preschool aged students drew these pictures of me.
I love them and I love the effort that obviously went into them, but I'm a little concerned about my self-image now...

mama mia

March 20

The "geeky" district of down, a long street affectionally known as Denden Town, had a street festa. I took a ton of terrible photographs, but I'm partial to this badass Luigi. I wouldn't mess with that, paisano.

endings

March 19

This was the sign counting down the days until half of Kintetsu Abenobashi Station was shut down.  They say they're going to build the tallest building in Osaka in its place.
I figured there was no harm in a commemorative photograph.

overexposure

March 18

Osaka Harbor.

Kishiwada Station, right before work.

March 16

There was a sumo tournament at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium.
I was on my way to work and saw this guy walking by.
He must have not been too famous, because the crowd was still gathered anxiously outside the gymnasium entrance, seemingly waiting for some other heavyweight legend.

the deal

I do have pictures for every day since my last update, but I've been having major issues with my blog posting program. Instead of making one big entry (which tends to freeze up my computer these days, sigh), I am going to post separate posts for every day. I don't think anybody is reading me off of RSS, so this shouldn't spam anyone too badly. If someone does end up with 20 updates all at once, I apologize, and this should be the only time this happens.

March 15

Found while walking down Midosuji Avenue between Namba and Shinsaibashi.
The "ha ha" is the final, classic touch.
